IT asset disposal — done right, and it pays you
IT asset disposition is the controlled retirement of business IT — data destroyed, assets tracked, disposal documented for your auditor. Maxicom does all of that across the UAE and the GCC, and pays you for the hardware in AED instead of charging a disposal fee.
- A fair market price, in AED
- Data wiped, certificate per drive
- Free collection, any quantity
- No obligation
The governed way to retire IT
Done properly, ITAD covers four things: collection on a controlled chain of custody, certified data destruction, reuse-first recovery, and audit documentation. It's not scrapping and it's not basic recycling — it's the governed version, with the certificates and reports your risk, security and sustainability teams need.
And with us it's the version that pays: because the compliance is included, the engagement returns a payment in AED rather than a bill — for a single site or a multi-site programme across the UAE and the GCC.
End to end, or the parts you need
Collection & logistics
Controlled collection on a documented chain of custody across the UAE and the GCC, for a single site or a multi-site programme, on your schedule.
Certified data destruction
Sanitisation to NIST 800-88 (HDD) and IEEE 2883 (SSD/NVMe) with a certificate per asset; physical destruction through a vetted partner where a drive can't be wiped or policy requires it.
Reuse-first recovery
Working gear is refurbished and redeployed or remarketed, and only what genuinely can't be reused is recycled — the reuse-first order that keeps value in play and waste down.
Audit-grade reporting
A full chain-of-custody record plus disposition and destruction reports per asset, formatted for internal audit and compliance sign-off.
Payment, not a disposal fee
Because the value is recovered, governed ITAD with us pays you in AED rather than charging a disposal fee — the compliant route that also returns money.
Single site or programme
One SOW covers a single office or a rolling multi-site programme, with consolidated reporting and one point of contact.

What is IT asset disposal (ITAD)?
IT asset disposal — also called IT asset disposition, or ITAD — is the controlled process of retiring end-of-life business IT so the data on it is destroyed, its residual value is recovered, and the whole chain is documented for audit. It sits above simple recycling or scrapping: an ITAD engagement covers secure collection, certified data destruction, reuse-first asset recovery and full reporting, so nothing leaves your control undocumented and no drive moves on with data still on it.
The reason it matters is risk as much as value. A single un-wiped drive is a data breach waiting to happen, and “we recycled it” is not an answer an auditor accepts — you need a certificate of destruction per asset and an unbroken chain of custody. Proper ITAD gives you both, recovers the value still in the hardware, and — because that value is recovered rather than handed to a shredder — returns money to you in AED instead of a disposal invoice.
