E-waste recycling that pays you — not charges you

Most e-waste companies charge you to haul your old electronics away. Maxicom does the opposite — for business-volume IT we pay you in AED, wipe your data to NIST 800-88, and collect free across the UAE and the GCC. Reuse-first, zero landfill.

Disposal that pays you

Getting rid of old business IT usually costs you — a shredder-only recycler charges a fee, and you're left carrying the data risk. We do it the other way round: a fair price for your equipment, certified data destruction, and free collection, with the paperwork your auditor needs.

Reuse comes before recycling every time: reusable equipment is refurbished and redeployed, and only what genuinely can't be reused goes to licensed recyclers — so nothing ends up in landfill.

What happens to your equipment after we collect it

Every load is sorted into three streams. Reusable assets and components are tested, data-wiped and refurbished so they can be put back into service. Data-bearing media is sanitised to standard — or physically destroyed where required — before anything moves on. Only the genuinely dead material is passed to licensed recyclers for proper material recovery. You receive documentation covering the disposition, so your team can show exactly what happened to every asset, with reuse first at every step and nothing to landfill.

What counts as business e-waste?

Electronic waste — e-waste — is any end-of-life electrical or electronic equipment. For a business that's far more than old PCs: desktops and laptops, servers, storage arrays and networking gear, monitors and peripherals, UPS units and batteries, cables, and the loose components inside them. Anything with a board or a plug counts, and most of it holds recoverable value or data that has to be handled before it's recycled.

Responsible e-waste recycling means that value and that risk are dealt with properly — not shredded indiscriminately or sent to landfill. Working equipment is refurbished and re-used, data is destroyed to standard, and only genuinely dead material is passed to licensed recyclers to recover the metals, plastics and boards. Because the equipment is valued rather than just weighed for scrap, business-volume e-waste is paid for in AED, not charged for.

Common questions

FAQ

Do you pay for e-waste, or charge to take it?
For business-volume IT, we pay you in AED, with free collection and certified data wiping included — the opposite of a shredder-only recycler.
How do I dispose of business e-waste in the UAE?
Send an inventory or photos of the electronics you're clearing and we arrange free collection across the UAE and the GCC. Data-bearing drives are wiped to standard with a certificate, reusable gear is refurbished, and only dead material is recycled — and for business volumes you're paid, not charged.
What is classed as e-waste for a business?
Any end-of-life electronic equipment — desktops, laptops, servers, storage, networking, monitors, phones, UPS and batteries, cables and loose components. If it has a board or a plug it's e-waste, and most of it holds value or data that must be handled before recycling.
What happens to electronic waste after it's recycled?
Reuse comes first — working equipment and parts are tested, wiped and refurbished for re-use. Only what genuinely can't be reused goes to licensed recyclers, where metals, plastics and boards are separated for material recovery. Nothing is landfilled, and you receive documentation of the disposition.
Which UAE and GCC rules apply to disposing of business IT?
Business IT disposal touches data-protection rules (UAE PDPL, and the DIFC and ADGM regimes for firms in those zones, plus the applicable rules in your GCC market) and e-waste handling rules. Our process is built to satisfy the data-destruction and responsible-recycling requirements, and the certificate documents it.
What happens to my old equipment — is any of it landfilled?
No. Reusable equipment is refurbished and redeployed; only what genuinely can't be reused goes to licensed recyclers. Nothing is sent to landfill, and you receive documentation of the disposition.
Is my data wiped before anything is recycled?
Yes — always, before anything moves on. Drives are sanitised to NIST 800-88 / IEEE 2883 with a certificate per asset; drives that can't be wiped are physically destroyed through a vetted partner.
Do you collect, and is pickup free?
We collect free across the UAE and the GCC for business-volume loads and handle the loading.
Do you take faulty or dead equipment?
Yes — working, faulty and end-of-life equipment are all taken.
Is this good for our ESG reporting?
Yes — reuse-first keeps hardware out of landfill and supports your sustainability reporting, with disposition documentation for your records.
